Karella Sound Insulation for Steel Tip Dartboards – Up to 80% Noise Reduction

When darts hit a steel tip dartboard, they create a noticeable knocking sound that can be disturbing, especially in apartments or adjoining rooms. The Karella sound insulation system for steel tip dartboards was developed together with sound insulation experts to significantly reduce this noise.

The two-piece system consists of a sound insulation core, onto which the dartboard is mounted, and a surrounding sound insulation ring. Both components are made from millions of specially developed sound-insulating fibres. Together, they help decouple the dartboard from the wall and significantly reduce the transmission of impact noise.

According to the manufacturer, professional measurements showed a noise reduction of more than 80% both in the dart room and in adjoining rooms. Measured values were below 30 dB.

The anthracite-coloured insulation ring covers an area of approx. 12 cm around the dartboard and can therefore also be used as additional wall protection or as a surround. If required, a conventional dartboard surround can also be fitted.

The fibre material is Oeko-Tex tested, contains no chemical additives and is odour-neutral. The Karella sound insulation system is shape-retaining, robust and durable and is completely made in Germany.

The system is universally suitable for standard steel tip dartboards. Many common dartboard lighting systems can also continue to be used.
