The Different L-Style Shaft Series

L-Style offers several shaft series that differ in material, shape, and rotation system. This allows you to customise your dart setup to match your personal throwing style and preferred flight characteristics.

L-Shaft

The classic L-Shafts are made from durable plastic and combine lightweight construction with excellent everyday performance. They are available as Locked models with a fixed flight holder and Silent models with a rotating flight holder.

Laro Shaft

Laro Shafts are made from high-quality plastic and provide a classic connection between the barrel and the flight. They are available as a fixed Locked version. Rotating Laro Shafts were also produced, but these models are now being discontinued and are only available while stocks last. At L-Style, the rotating version is officially referred to as Silent.

Carbon Shaft

The premium L-Style Carbon Shafts combine lightweight construction with exceptional strength and durability. They are available as Locked models with a fixed flight holder and as Silent models with a rotating flight holder. Laro Carbon Shaft

The Laro Carbon Shafts combine the proven shape of the Laro series with premium carbon construction. They are available exclusively as a fixed Locked version. Thanks to the strong carbon material, they provide a highly durable alternative to standard plastic Laro Shafts.

Locked or Silent – What's the Difference?

L-Style refers to fixed shafts as Locked and rotating shafts as Silent. The terms Silent and Spinning describe the same rotating flight holder. However, L-Style officially uses the name Silent.

• Locked: The flight is firmly secured and does not rotate, providing a direct, stable, and traditional playing feel.
• Silent: The upper section of the shaft rotates freely, allowing the flight to move away when hit by a following dart, which can help reduce deflections.

L-Shafts and Carbon Shafts are available in both Locked and Silent versions. Plastic Laro Shafts are available as Locked models, while some discontinued Silent versions are still available while stocks last. Laro Carbon Shafts are available exclusively as Locked models.

Perfectly Matched with L-Style Flights

L-Style Shafts have been specially developed for use with original L-Style Flights. Together, they create a perfectly matched flight and shaft system with a permanently open 90° flight angle and a secure fit.

L-Style Pro Flights are typically used with a matching Champagne Ring. The ring is inserted into the designated opening of the flight, ensuring a secure connection to the shaft. Many L-Style EZ Flights already feature an integrated Champagne Ring.

Shell Lock Rings, on the other hand, are designed for traditional folded dart flights. Using the Shell Lock Flight Punch (also known as the Shell Lock Punch), a small section is punched out of the folded flight. The Shell Lock Ring is then inserted into the opening, providing a secure fit on the shaft while also helping to reduce Robin Hoods and extend the flight's lifespan.

L-Style Shafts are compatible with a wide range of L-Style flight series, including Pro, EZ, Kami, Dimple, and Fantom. Traditional folded flights can also be used when prepared with the appropriate Shell Lock System.
