Winmau Fusion Flight & Shaft Systems

Winmau Fusion combines the flight and shaft into a single integrated flight and shaft system. The one-piece construction maintains a permanently fixed 90° flight angle, helps reduce robin hoods and provides consistent flight performance. At Dartfieber, you'll find Winmau Fusion in a variety of flight shapes, colours and shaft lengths for both steel tip and soft tip darts.

Winmau Fusion – Integrated Flight & Shaft System

The Winmau Fusion Flight & Shaft System permanently combines the flight and shaft into a single integrated component. The fixed 90° angle of the four wings ensures that the flight never needs to be opened manually or secured with additional flight rings. The complete system simply screws into the barrel using the standard 2BA thread and is ready to use immediately.

Thanks to its one-piece construction, Winmau Fusion eliminates the traditional connection between the flight and shaft. This prevents flights from slipping off the shaft, helps reduce robin hoods and keeps the flight permanently open during play for consistent performance.

Winmau Fusion Sizes & Weights Compared

Winmau Fusion is available in three shaft lengths: Short, Intermediate and Medium. The table below shows the shaft length, overall length and approximate weight of a single Fusion system.

Winmau Fusion Size Overview

Shaft length is measured without the 2BA thread.

Size Shaft Length Overall Length Weight
Short 22 mm approx. 64 mm approx. 1.30 g
Intermediate 28 mm approx. 70 mm approx. 1.35 g
Medium 34 mm approx. 76 mm approx. 1.40 g

Which Winmau Fusion Length Is Right for You?

Short

Ideal for a compact dart setup with a shorter overall length and a generally more direct flight.

Intermediate

The balanced mid-length option and a great starting point for many players.

Medium

Designed for a longer setup and a generally smoother, more stable dart flight.

Standard, Shape or Arrow – Which Flight Shape Should You Choose?

Standard – No.2

The classic Standard shape offers the largest flight surface within the regular Fusion range. It provides maximum lift and supports a stable, controlled dart flight.

Shape – No.6

The Shape design is slightly more compact than the Standard version. The reduced air resistance can promote a faster, more direct flight.

Arrow

The slimmer Arrow shape features a curved profile and has been developed for a flatter, faster flight with reduced air resistance. It is particularly suitable for players who prefer a direct trajectory.

Note: The stated weights and overall lengths are based on the manufacturer's specifications for the Winmau Fusion Arrow version. Standard, Shape, colour and player editions may vary slightly in weight and overall length. Shaft lengths of Short, Intermediate and Medium are always 22 mm, 28 mm and 34 mm respectively, measured without the thread.

Advantages of the Winmau Fusion Flight & Shaft System

Integrated Flight & Shaft Design

The flight cannot slip off the shaft and does not need to be reattached during play.

Fixed 90° Flight Angle

The four wings remain permanently open and maintain their intended position throughout every game.

No Additional Accessories Required

Flight rings, crowns or other flight securing systems are not required.

Fewer Robin Hoods

Thanks to the seamless transition between the flight and shaft, there is no open shaft slot where another dart can become lodged.

Quick & Easy Replacement

The complete Fusion system can simply be unscrewed from the barrel and replaced within seconds.

Suitable for Steel Tip & Soft Tip Darts

The standard 2BA thread makes Winmau Fusion compatible with most steel tip and soft tip dart barrels.

Winmau Fusion Standard, Shape & Arrow Compared

The best flight shape mainly depends on your individual throwing style, the barrel you use and your preferred dart trajectory. The comparison below provides a helpful overview:

Flight Shape Flight Surface Typical Flight Characteristics Recommended For
Standard / No.2 Large Stable and controlled Players who prefer a traditional flight shape with maximum lift.
Shape / No.6 Medium Balanced and slightly more direct Players looking for a combination of stability and reduced air resistance.
Arrow Slim Flatter, faster and more direct Players with a faster throw or those who prefer a flatter dart trajectory.

There is no universally "best" flight shape. Players who currently use traditional Standard flights will usually feel most comfortable with the Standard (No.2) version. The Shape (No.6) offers an excellent balance between stability and speed, while the Arrow shape is ideal for players seeking lower air resistance and a faster, more direct flight path.

Who Is Winmau Fusion Suitable For?

Winmau Fusion is suitable for beginners, recreational players and ambitious dart players looking for a simple, integrated flight and shaft system with a permanently fixed 90° flight angle. The one-piece construction is particularly beneficial for players whose traditional flights frequently come loose or require readjustment during play.

The integrated design also makes Winmau Fusion an excellent choice for tournaments and travelling. Since the flight and shaft are combined into a single component, there is no need to carry separate flights, shafts or flight rings. A spare Fusion set is all you need for a quick replacement.

Winmau Fusion or Traditional Flights & Shafts?

With a traditional dart setup, the shaft and flight are selected separately, allowing each component to be replaced individually and combined in countless ways. However, flights may slip off the shaft during play, become damaged or fail to remain consistently open.

Winmau Fusion permanently combines both components into a single integrated unit. This ensures consistent geometry, a permanently open 90° flight angle and easy handling. If either the flight or shaft becomes damaged, the entire Fusion system is simply replaced.
