Max Hopp -  the Maximiser

Max Hopp is a professional darts player from Germany, born on August 20, 1996. Known by his nickname “The Maximiser,” he became one of the most prominent figures in German darts at a young age. Hopp first gained major attention when he won the PDC World Youth Championship in 2015, which marked him as one of the sport’s rising talents.

His biggest breakthrough on the senior circuit came in 2018, when he won the German Darts Open, becoming the first German player ever to win a title on the PDC European Tour. In the same year, he also claimed a Players Championship event and reached the semifinals of the European Championship.

Hopp is known for his calm playing style, strong scoring phases, and confident stage presence. After losing his Tour Card in 2022, he made a successful comeback by regaining it in 2025, returning to the main PDC professional tour.

Today, Max Hopp remains an important figure for darts in Germany and continues to inspire many young players in the country.
